The Opportunity
The Faculty of Education is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Counsellor to join the Professional Practice Consultant team on a part-time basis for 3 years. This position is focused on providing support to the Master of Counselling course, which is also offered offshore in Hong Kong and Singapore. The Professional Practice Consultant, Master of Counselling is responsible for supporting students’ progress in professional practice and readiness within the counselling course prior to, during and post placement.
Reporting to the Professional Practice Manager, you will bring a genuine desire to use your own rich professional practice and knowledge to support the Faculty’s professional experience through an internal focus on student development and an external focus on partner support.
The role is dynamic and would suit someone who is relationship-focused and who can constructively collaborate and communicate with a diverse range of parties in ensuring a quality experience for both students and external partners.
To be successful for this role, you should have:

Relevant qualifications in the field of Counselling, with extensive and relevant professional experience

Understanding of relevant professional standards for Counsellors

Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent use of technology including software packages such as Google Suite
