Professional Education Specialist

As a member of the Professional Education & Medical Affairs (PEMA) team, you will partner with marketing, related functions across Edwards and key stakeholders to develop and lead the execution of educational programs for health care providers (HCPs). You will be responsible for on time and on budget delivery of each program from early planning to wrap-up activities. Your main activities will include setting of program objectives and KPIs, identification of suitable event locations, management of HCP and 3rd party vendor contracts, all related logistics, communication of progress with internal/external stakeholders, post-event analysis, budget consolidation and payment processing. You are very organized, detail oriented, agile & adaptable, an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills, a team player/collaborator, extremely customer centric, possess outstanding critical thinking skills and have an ability to effectively prioritize your work. You are ethical and act in accordance with compliance policies at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn all the related compliance and legal policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to strategic event planning and abide by these at all times
  • In collaboration with your PEMA team members and marketing managers, develop and execute HCP educational programs, owning each event from beginning to end, including all logistics, even-related communication, event wrap up including budget consolidation and processing of related payments
  • Develop, evaluate, and provide metrics on HCP training activities based on established objectives and KPIs
  • Ensure HCP contracts are up to date and that HCPs are engaged according to Edwards & Industry policies; collaborate and provide PEMA global partners support when engaging our HCPs and vice versa
  • Establish and lead the implementation of new and efficient process improvements
  • Drive relevant PEMA collateral through relevant legal and regulatory approval processes
  • Other incidental duties

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree 3 years years experience of previously related work experience Required

Experience working in event management, marketing and/or sales in the healthcare industry Preferred

Project Management/Process Optimization Experience Preferred

Additional Skills:

  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Good problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to strategic event planning
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory and MedTech requirements
  • Strict attention to detail

  • Must be able to work in a team environment with global partners
  • Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
