Overview:
- This is a Direct Hire Position **
Our client is an automotive supplier in the Simcoe area and is seeking a hands-on Group Leader to support their Production department. This role is ideal for a strong floor leader who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments and knows how to keep production, safety, and people moving in the right direction.
Here is What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead and support production teams during assigned shifts
- Review production schedules and ensure output and delivery targets are met
- Assign staff based on skills and production needs
- Troubleshoot production, maintenance, and workflow issues to minimize downtime
- Ensure safety, quality, 5S, and productivity standards are consistently met
- Coach, train, and develop team members
- Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
Are you Qualified?
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong technical and mechanical knowledge
- Comfortable working a rotating three-shift schedule
Physical Demands of the Job:
- Standing for long periods of time
- Bending, twisting, pushing and pulling
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Working a rotational shift
