Salary: Circa £27,340 per annum depending on experience

Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract (3 Years), Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

Location: IB (International Baccalaureate®) Global Centre, Cardiff

Hybrid working opportunity, office presence required one day per week

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Exam Publishing department as a Production Coordinator. You will be supporting the team in the development and delivery of traditional and digital material within the Assessment division. The role would suit candidates seeking experience in publishing, offering scope to progress within the business.

The Production Coordinator role requires a high level of proofing and organisational skills to deliver critical high-quality, error-free assessments on time and to a detailed session plan. The role coordinates production teams, including external specialists and suppliers, provides support across the Exam Publishing production team throughout an annual cycle and works with external suppliers on the delivery and receipt of work. The role also works collaboratively with others such as external vendors and Subject Managers on tasks.

This opportunity can be offered on a hybrid basis to those living a commutable distance from Cardiff, generally requiring one day per week onsite on a Tuesday (occasionally multiple office days are required but this is only a couple of weeks in a year).

We offer a Flexible-Working Schedule with our core hours being 10am-12pm and 2pm-3pm, meaning you can flex your hours between 7am and 7pm to suit your professional and personal needs.

  • General administration support
  • Create and maintain department documents, including spreadsheets
  • Work with external vendors on the production of assessments modified for Inclusion and Access
  • Facilitate the pre and post exam copyright clearance process
  • Act as a point of contact for a range of external suppliers
  • Project manage an allocation of subjects
  • Proofread and check assessment materials for accuracy

Requirements and Qualifications

About You

Essential:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject or language
  • Experience in an administrative role
  • Proven organisational skills and ability to prioritize own workload
  • Customer service skills and the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders from different backgrounds
  • An exceptional eye for detail
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Strong communication skills and an excellent command of the English language
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office, with an aptitude for learning new programs
  • Experience of teamworking

Desirable:

  • Ability to work in French or Spanish
  • Knowledge of the IB, IB Programmes or being an IB Alumni is a plus
