We promise: you are in for a special ride!The location of the role is in Vienna or Leoben, Austria (other locations possible)About the jobAs a Global Product Owner at RHI Magnesita, you will report to the Head of Competence Center Refractory Products within the BU Flow Control and Advanced Technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the product group strategy to support the achievement of our overall business targets. As a strategic partner to the sales regions, your proactive interaction will contribute to the execution of regional priorities, driving profitable growth of the product line. You will also coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain Management departments to optimize the manufacturing footprint. By understanding market requirements and managing the entire product lifecycle, including the promotion and implementation of defined product launch packages, you will be a vital driver of innovation. During work, you will be traveling (inter)nationally for approx. 30% of the time.In addition, your tasks will include

  • Quantifying value for new customer solutions
  • Planning and execution of new product market rollout
  • Being an active partner in the Go to Market area
  • Managing the IP portfolio
  • Following the latest trends in digital tools, systems, and automation to address future industry needs

About YouYou have an in-depth knowledge about Tundish Lining Refractories used in the steel continuous casting process. You are a strong communicator with a collaborative attitude. With your great enthusiasm and creative mindset, you bring new ideas to the table, not only as an individual but also together with your colleagues. You work well in cross-functional teams and are not afraid to take responsibility and make decisions. With your hands-on mentality, structured approach and analytical skills, you proactively seek to improve the status quo. You see change as something positive, can adapt quickly and you like to courageously help shaping the future of RHI Magnesita.What we expect from you in terms ofEducation and Knowledge

  • A higher education in engineering (metallurgy, materials sciences, process engineering, ceramics, chemistry or similar)
  • In-depth knowledge about the refractory industry, as well as tundish lining refractories used in the steel continuous casting process

Languages

  • English – Proficient/Fluent
  • Any other language will be considered an asset

Work Experience

  • Several years of relevant work experience in the refractory industry

The potential annual gross salary for this position is € 78,000.00 on a full-time basis, depending on your qualifications and experience, the amount of overtime, and your level of seniority.
