Job Duties

Duties & Responsibilities The Procurement Specialist for Auxiliary Services performs a wide range of procurement responsibilities in support of a two-campus locations consistent with industry best practices and in compliance with the State of Tennessee regulations & policies. Responsible for serving as the main contact for overall management of multiple auxiliary contracts such as food services, beverage services, vending machines, bookstore, multi-functional devices, mail services, for the University of Memphis. Responsible for development and solicitation of bids and selection for auxiliary contracts. Serves as University liaison with contracted providers.
Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for serving as contract manager, coordinator and University Liaison for multiple Auxiliary Services contracts for a two-campus system including the facilitation of the Request for Proposal process from creation to award. Auxiliary Services is defined as services provided by an outside contractor that is contracted to offer goods and services to the University community which are essential to academic and administrative success such as University Bookstore, food services (cafeterias and catering) and vending .
Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for development and solicitation of bids and selection for multiple Auxiliary Service contracts including food services which includes cafeterias and catering, and vending, Copiers/Multi-functional Devises, Beverage Services etc.
Duties & Responsibilities Provides procurement services by processing orders for goods and services, prepares and issues requests for quotations, requests for proposals, evaluates proposals and makes recommendations. Coordinates procurement activities and provides vendor information to departments, contacts vendors and performs follow-up on any issues
Duties & Responsibilities Serve as University liaison with contracted Auxiliary Services providers. This includes assisting University departments with Auxiliary Services concerns and supporting University auxiliary needs such as quoting new auxiliary equipment, resolving issues and approving repairs
Duties & Responsibilities Participate in annual Auxiliary Services supplier performance reviews.
Manages Auxiliary Services contracts including creating, monitoring and evaluating performance metrics
Duties & Responsibilities May revise work methods and procedures for unit’s clerical staff if needed. Coordinates scheduling of events and other administrative duties.
Duties & Responsibilities Performs research; compiles, organizes, and analyzes information; assists in preparing reports and maintenance of records pertaining to the operation of the work unit.
