Swinburne University, striving to create social and economic impact, is looking for a service-focused and agile coordinator to provide important support to the procurement team and university. Opportunities abound to deliver value, enhance business capability, and support the team to deliver sustainable procurement outcomes that align with university strategy. 

In this exciting role, you will support effective procurement frameworks, governance, systems and training that enables the university to optimise value across the supply chain in a streamlined way. You will provide important analytical support to the procurement team, helping to add commercial value and mitigate risk to Swinburne across the end-to-end procurement cycle. This role will deliver useful insights, reporting and facilitate communication of successes to uplift the procurement function’s profile and provide operational support to the travel program and other procurement operational areas as required.

We are looking for an individual with the drive to identify and deliver improvement initiatives that will support excellent procurement outcomes.  This will require someone who builds strong business relationships across all internal and external stakeholders and provides high quality customer service. The role will also provide support for other procurement or commercial projects to deliver on Swinburne’s Horizon 2025 strategy.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Relevant knowledge, experience and expertise in providing quality analysis and reporting, preferably in a Procurement context.
  • Relevant experience in large complex organisations (education sector is preferred).
  • Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to interact with and gain commitment from a diversity of stakeholders.
  • Project management skills and commitment to meeting timelines.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree qualification, and/or experience in Procurement or Buying (or similar).
