The Group You’ll Be A Part Ofan interdisciplinary team for research and development of core hardware components for wet chemistry applications in microelectronic industry.The Impact You’ll MakeAs a Process Engineer at Lam, you will operate on cutting-edge technology, harnessing atomic precision, material science, and surface engineering to push technical boundaries. Your role involves developing new and advanced process formulations, defining equipment hardware to meet processing requirements, evaluating test data, and coordinating design requirements to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Your expertise and knowledge play a crucial role our customers success, making an impact on the next generation of semiconductor breakthroughs.What You’ll Do
- Working under laboratory conditions to develop innovative wet chemistry applications.
- Conduct process engineering research, development, and evaluation in support of Lam’s cutting-edge semiconductor equipment and systems.
- Characterize material properties of wet chemical components, research its chemical composition and ensure their compatibility with process and hardware.
- Develop and sustain new chemical processes and process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields.
- Compile and analyze test data to establish innovative process development, determine appropriate limits and variables for process specifications and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation projects.
- Provide process support for customer demonstrations and collaborations with development partners.
Who We’re Looking ForMinimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Physics or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in wet chemical processing in the microelectronic field
- Proficiency in working within chemical laboratories
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with working in a chemical laboratory and on semiconductor equipment with experience in surface preparation and analytical techniques.
- Advanced knowledge in the field of chemistry to develop innovative chemical processes.
- Profund knowledge of analytical measurement methods for chemical processes under laboratory conditions.
- Knowledge of Material synthesis and material characterization.
- Basic knowledge of programs such as MATLAB, Python, or other similar scientific computing language.
- Strong proficiency in analysing large data sets with appropriate software tools (e.g. Origin).
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
- In-depth understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).

A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise, education, and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
