Probing covalent mechanisms of regulation and inhibition in mitotic kinases

About the Project

PhD Opportunity: Probing Covalent Mechanisms in Mitotic Kinases

Are you passionate about cutting-edge research in molecular, cell and chemical biology and eager to make a significant impact in the field of cell division? Join our dynamic and interdisciplinary team at the University of Leeds and the University of Sheffield for a PhD project focused on probing covalent mechanisms of regulation and inhibition in mitotic kinases.

Project Overview

Mitotic kinases are essential regulators of cell division, and their precise control is crucial for maintaining genomic stability. This project aims to uncover the covalent modifications that regulate these kinases and identify novel synthetic inhibitors that can modulate their activity. By integrating high-throughput molecular discovery, structural biology, and cell biology, this research will provide insights into the understanding of kinase regulation through covalent mechanisms and pave the way for new strategies to develop inhibitors.

Why Join Us?
