Job description

In your new role you will:

• Interact with key customers and system manufacturers for stakeholder requirements capturing to define the next generation of gate driver ICs for Si MOSFETs and WBG power switches (SiC & GaN)
• Translate target technical value drivers into product requirements (PRQs) based on deep system understanding.
• Create target datasheet for the product(s)
• Support feasibility study and review concept / product architecture for the

new gate driver ICs

• Define and create test boards and conduct application specific lab testing including documentation of results
• Support internal verification and customer validation of prototypes, preferably in evaluation boards or customer systems
• Work with development, marketing and key-customers in the design in phase, provide on-site technical support for selected key customers and our sales force
• Create go-to-market literature such as application notes, technical articles, benchmarking, fighting guides, and training material
• Engage with the wide network of colleagues spread around the globe to specify the features and feed this information into the product and application roadmaps

Profile

You describe yourself as an ambitious team player with technical expertise in semiconductor development. Additionally, you take in information quickly, evaluate it from different points of view and uncover the hidden correlations in it. Customers concerns you are highly committed to and you award them high priority. Your communication skills are excellent and enforce you building lasting relationships and networks – internally and externally.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• A PhD / Masters Degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or Physics
• At least 6 years of relevant work experience in (Field) Application Engineering, System Engineering, Technical Marketing or Product Development within the semiconductor industry. Alternatively, you have worked at an OEM in the area of power electronics systems.
• Familiar with galvanically isolated products such as Gate Drivers, Digital Input/ Output, or Digital Isolators ICs.
• Knowledge about component standards (e.g. UL 1577, VDE 0884-11, IEC 60747-17) for isolated products and system standards (e.g. IEC 62368-1, GB4943.1)
• Experience in design, development and/or test of power supplies using Si MOSFET
• Knowledge at system & application level, conversion topologies and modulations, circuit simulation, programming, and PCB layout software
• Excellent customer interaction and technical support skills
• Proven experience in leading and structuring complex technical discussions in cross-functional teams and at customers
• An excellent command of English, German would be a plus

We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. When staffed in Austria, the employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group I (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2023.pdf). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
