As Principal Concept Engineer for product definition of Automotive Microcontroller IPs you will drive concept development and innovation of our microcontrollers over device families, packages and applications by working with experts from various Infineon teams.

You are open to new challenges without knowing the right path to a solution in advance, whereby you accept responsibility and accountability for your decisions and drive active risk management. Ihre Aufgaben

Job description

In your new role you will:

  • Define the architecture of the next generation Data Acquisition system, including state-of-the art converter architectures as well as high resolution PWM and design for testing
  • Transfer product relevant application requirements to Hardware Requirements and Hardware Architecture with focus on global optimum for customer and converter system
  • Actively participate in IP roadmap strategy development for optimized SoC implementation (time to market, area, cost, family concept, scalable approach)
  • Drive together with the platform architects a strategy which enables a family concept by modular and scalable approach
  • Be the interface to our platform architect team and drive active knowledge transfer to the product design team
  • Foster good relationship to technical marketing as well as to the customer and incorporate needed requirements into your work
  • Own and create technical documentation in order to provide the requested Hardware Architectural descriptions and documents to guarantee the ISO26262 compliance

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this job if you have:

  • A degree in in Electrical Engineering, Physics or comparable
  • At least 6+ years of relevant working and project experience in Data Acquisition Systems and analog/mixed-signal circuitries
  • Good Knowledge in state-of-the art Converter technologies
  • Knowledge in Chip Integration, packaging and assembly (e.g. crosstalk and interference)
  • Strong knowledge of system level concept and architecture
  • A team player mentality and the readiness for technical leadership
  • Joy in working with international, multi-cultural teams
  • Fluent English skills, German skills are a plus
