Princeton University Faculty Position in Theoretical Physics

The Princeton University Physics Department invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in theoretical physics, broadly defined. The department has strong research groups in a number of subfields in theory. This search is open to all subfields, including gravity, high energy, condensed matter, biophysics, quantum, and mathematical physics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Physics and are expected to demonstrate an outstanding record of independent research accomplishment and creativity as well as a strong interest in teaching and mentoring students.

Applicants must submit a CV, list of publications, a research statement and a teaching statement, which may include your plans and goals for advancing equity and inclusion if hired as a Princeton faculty member. In addition, contact information for three referees who will be asked to upload letters of recommendation to the site is required. 

Applications will be reviewed as they arrive by a cross-disciplinary selection committee. For an exceptional candidate, there is also the possibility of appointment at the tenured level. Candidates are encouraged to apply by November 18, 2022.
