Job Description

  • HEP Level 6 and the salary range is $82,372 per annum to $89,161 per annum, plus 17% Superannuation 
  • 12 months Fixed-Term Contract. Full Time Position at 36.75 hours per week.
  • Located at our Footscray Nicholson St. Campus

Victoria University (VU) Polytechnic is seeking an experienced Practical Placement Officer to provide a high level of support in the development and maintenance of administrative processes related to student practical placements and day-to-day operational activities.

VU Polytechnic  is the TAFE division of the University. It is a friendly, progressive organisation with a strong social justice history and favorable working conditions.

About the Role:

The responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

  • Provide first point of contact response to all matters associated with the organisation and coordination of Placements demonstrating a deep understanding of the possibilities, principles and procedures associated with Work Integrated Learning.
  • Introduce new functionality to remove manual practices to address inefficient work practices to support the business, students and staff.
  • Provide operational and business reports around the management of practical placements.

About You:

You will have extensive knowledge on practical placements. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Have the ability to learn new systems and processes.
