| Job Summary | The Department of Family Medicine is one of the largest and most complex clinical science departments within the Faculty of Medicine and is dedicated to excellence in patient care, teaching, research, and administration within the discipline of Family Medicine in a distributed learning environment (across three provinces). Reporting to the Medical Education Manager (MEM) , the Postgraduate Site Administrator is responsible for providing high level, comprehensive management of the Dalhousie Halifax Site postgraduate program by effectively coordinating all administration activities including special events as well as establishing procedures and guidelines. |

| Note | The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines. Dalhousie’s vaccine mandate has been suspended at this time, and employees no longer need to provide proof of full vaccination. However, health and safety risks to our community will continue to be monitored and a vaccine mandate may be reinstated if necessary. Additionally, as this position is in a clinical academic department based within Nova Scotia Health facilities, NSH’s vaccination and other relevant workplace policies may apply. |
| Qualifications | Undergraduate degree in business or a related field with three to five years’ progressive relevant experience in administration in a university setting (or an equivalent combination of training and experience) is required. Superior written and oral communication skills is required Experience with supervision of staff is an asset. Ability to work independently, advanced attention to detail, ability to multitask and use initiative is expected. Demonstrated advanced computer proficiency required including software packages (MS Office etc.). Experience with webinar systems (Zoom, MS Teams) or on-line tools would be an asset. Knowledge of the medical schools and technologies such as Dalhousie intranet DalMedix, One45 (online evaluation program) or similar software will be considered an asset. |
