Postdoctoral Scientist

We are currently recruiting for a Postdoctoral Scientist in Immunology reporting to Professors Philip Goulder and Paul Klenerman. You will be a member of a research group working on a new project to evaluate the impact of immune sec differences in the first 1000 days of life and in childhood and adolescence. You will undertake the immune profiling of sex-discordant twin-sets using cryopreserved cord blood and PBMC samples ranging from birth through to 24 months, in particular focusing on the role of non-conventional T-cells in mediating immune sex differences in early life.

To be considered for this position you should hold (or be close to completion) a DPhil/PhD in the field of Immunology or a relevant subject. You should have a track record of expertise in designing and carrying out multiparameter FACS based assays of cellular phenotype and function and in studies involving analysis of single cell gene expression, together with a broad skill set, with strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work as part of a team.

The post is fixed-term for up to 4 years in the first instance.
