Postdoctoral Scholar

– a set of computational-statistical problems concerned with networks and sampling with applications to covert networks, in collaboration with researchers at the University of New South Wales, Sydney and the University of Melbourne, Australia;

– a set of statistical-theoretical problems concerned with networks, space, time, or causal inference based on discrete and dependent data, either Bayesian or non-Bayesian.

If desired, the postdoctoral scholars may teach one course in the Department of Statistics per year, but postdoctoral scholars are not expected to teach.

A Ph.D. in statistical science or data science is required at the time of appointment. Successful applicants will be expected to have a strong statistical background, research experience showing independence and innovation, and demonstrated academic writing skills. The initial appointment is funded for one year from the date of hire with a possibility of refunding.
