Position Summary The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Indiana University invites
applications for a postdoctoral position renewable up to three years. The postdoctoral scholar’s work will focus on research and program implementation aimed at identifying and eliminating disparities in STEM participation. The postdoctoral scholar will work with Dr. Amanda Diekman and her graduate and undergraduate students on projects aimed at understanding social structural influences on group stereotypes and characteristics, as well as how groups navigate the social structure (lab website: https://socialroles.lab.indiana.edu/ ). A primary responsibility (50% of the position) will be working with Reviewer Zero (www.reviewerzero.net ) on an NSF-funded project to design, implement, and evaluate a pre-review system and training to increase equity and inclusion in the peer review process. The postdoctoral scholar will have the opportunity to develop their own projects. Salary is competitive and aligns with NIH standards (https://bit.ly/31VuSIw ). Start date is flexible and can begin as soon as January 2023.
Necessary qualifications include:
● a PhD in psychology, education, or related field
● statistical expertise; experience with multilevel modeling with nested and
longitudinal designs desired
● demonstrated evidence of research productivity and academic writing
● excellent organizational skills
● strong communication and interpersonal skills
● motivation and commitment to identify and implement evidence-based strategies that shift culture in STEM toward greater inclusion and equity
