Position SummaryThe Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Indiana University invites applicants for a post-doctoral research position under the supervision of Dr. David Lilien. The successful candidate will use ice-flow modeling and ice-penetrating radar to investigate the dynamics of the ice sheets. The candidate will have the flexibility to help determine the project’s objectives, methods, and geographical focus.A PhD in Earth Science, Geology, Geophysics, or a related discipline is required by the time of appointment. The ideal candidate will bring skills in both ice-flow modeling and ice-penetrating radar; candidates with experience in one of these two areas are also encouraged to apply.For full consideration, send a 1-page letter of application, 2-page statement of research, curriculum vitae, and contact information for three referees to: . The initial appointment will be for 12 months. A 12-month extension will be available based on performance.
