Postdoctoral Researcher in Discrete Algorithms and Discrete Mathematics

A postdoctoral position under the supervision of Daniel Kral is available at the DIMEA laboratory of the Faculty of Informatics, Masaryk University, in Brno, Czech Republic. All candidates working in discrete algorithms, discrete mathematics or discrete optimization are welcome to apply. The starting date is flexible – it is preferred to be in the second half of the year 2023, however an earlier or later starting date can be negotiated. The position is available till the end of the year 2024 and can be extended if additional external funding is secured. The annual salary starts at approx. 32,000 EUR and additional funds for travel and other research expenses are available.

Requirements
Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics at the start of their position and a strong research record in discrete algorithms, discrete mathematics or discrete optimization. Good programming skills are not required but are preferred.
