The Chair of Ergodic Theory at the Ecole
Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) invites applications for one or more postdoctoral
researcher positions.
We seek outstanding candidates working in either one of
the following areas:
ergodic theory, topological or symbolic dynamics, additive combinatorics,
combinatorial number theory, multiplicative number theory, or Ramsey theory.
· Candidate should hold a PhD in
mathematics.
· This is a 3-year appointment,
with the possibility to extend for a 4-th year contingent upon satisfactory
performance and availability of funding.
· The position comes with excellent
research conditions and a competitive salary.
·
The anticipated starting date
for this position is September 1, 2023, but an earlier or later starting date
is also possible.
· Review of applications will
begin December 15, 2022, and will continue until the position is filled.
Short-listed candidates may be invited for an interview.
· Knowledge of French is not a
requirement.
