About our School:
The School of Business is one of four schools at the University of New South Wales Canberra. It offers a multi-disciplinary and collaborative work environment focusing on delivering high quality teaching in both undergraduate and postgraduate committed to preparing students for success in a wide range of fields. We are an internationally accredited business school and have a strong research focus in the areas of strategic people management, strategic decision-making, public-sector implementation and management, logistics, diversity, and business systems modelling. About the Role:
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will hold a doctorate in sociology, or a related discipline. They will undertake research as directed by their supervisors on a range of on-going projects, in one or more of the following four areas: Organisational cultural reform, integrity in sport governance, project management ‘soft’ skills, and/or risk regulation. The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will contribute to the development of research results and their publication in top international journals. They will contribute to writing funding body reports and applications. The exact project areas to be worked on will depend on the successful candidate’s skills and experience and be subject to negotiation with the team.
Role: Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Salary: Level A $100,318 – $107,299 plus 17% Superannuation
Term: Full time, 35hrs. Part time may be negotiated
Employment type: Fixed term 12 months, with possibility of extension, funding permitting
Location: Canberra, ACT. Remote and/or flexible working arrangements may be negotiated
Our Ideal Candidate:
Our Ideal candidate will have the ability to:
- Initiate ideas and work collaboratively in conducting research as part of the research team.
- Preparation of reports summarising the results gained from the research.
- Contribute to planning and undertaking of data collection and analysis.
- Initiate and prepare journal and/or conference publications based on the research.
- Undertake a range of administrative tasks to progress the project in a timely manner.
- Reach out, maintain links, and communicate with local and international stakeholders.
Eligibility:
The successful candidate will be required to undertake pre-employment checks prior to commencement in this role. The checks that will be undertaken are listed in the Position Description. You will not be required to provide any further documentation or information regarding the checks until directly requested by UNSW.
The successful candidate will be required to work from the UNSW Canberra campus. Remote working and/or flexible working arrangements will be considered. To be successful you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. UNSW is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
