Postdoctoral Research Associate in Kinetic Modelling of Surface Reactions

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Kinetic Modelling of Surface Reactions, to work under the supervision of Professor Michail Stamatakis for a period of up to 12 months.  The project research involves applications-driven benchmark studies of computational methods and algorithms.

Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant subject area, (or be close to completion) prior to taking up your appointment.  The research requires expertise in kinetic Monte Carlo simulations of heterogeneously catalysed complex chemistries.

You will be expected to manage your own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines.

The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Physical & Theoretical Chemistry Laboratory, South Parks Road, Oxford OX1 3QZ and is available as soon as possible.
