The multidisciplinary team includes professors/clinicians in the School of Medicine and the College of Engineering with a wide array of expertise in sensor development and analysis. The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for analyzing complex sensor data and communicating data in the form of primary research articles, aiding in grant writing, supervising graduate and undergraduate students and performing routine research duties as required.What you need to knowSalary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.Required Education and Experience:Appropriate doctoral degreeRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with othersOther Requirements and Factors:This position will require working outside of the normal 8-5 working hoursOccasional trips to independent/assisted living facilitiesOccasionally assisting seniors with technical questions on the sensors that they are usingThe Postdoctoral Research Associate will work with a multidisciplinary team which includes professors/clinicians in the School of Medicine and the College of Engineering with a wide array of expertise in sensor development and analysisPreferred Qualifications:Experience with machine learning and deep neural network techniquesExperience with wearable and sensors placed in the environmentKnowledge of characteristics associated with mild cognitive impairment capturable with digital interfacesResponsibilities:Data analysisDevelops and evaluates artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms for sensor data.Analyzes digital pen data.Uses qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques.Manuscript and Grant Proposal WritingPerforms literature searches.Writes first drafts of manuscripts and revise based upon feedback.Assists with writing grant proposals.Experimental researchEngages with research participants.Works with study coordinator, graduate, undergraduate, and medical students.Performs other duties as assigned.Instructions to Applicants: Applications received by Texas A&M University must either have all job application data entered or a resume attached.
