Job description
The Ziegler Lab is seeking a motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team investigating the immune mechanisms at mucosal barrier surfaces. Our lab focuses on understanding how immune responses are controlled in the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts, exploring both normal and pathogenic processes, with an emphasis on epithelial cytokines and regulatory T cells (Tregs).ResponsibilitiesAs a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will engage in semi-independent or independent biomedical research aligned with the lab’s current projects. Your role will include:
- Designing and implementing experimental projects
- Documenting and analyzing experimental results
- Preparing data for publications and presentations
- Operating and maintaining specialized laboratory equipment
- Conducting comprehensive literature reviews to remain updated on scientific advancements
- Collaborating with scientific staff on grant applications and interdisciplinary research projects
- Supervising and guiding research technicians
- Writing and submitting manuscripts for publication in high-impact scientific journals
QualificationsM.D. or Ph.D. required. May require an Animal Handling Certificate and experience working with mouse models of disease.Compensation$67,744 – $77,488 per year; depending on years of postdoctoral experienceBenefits
