| Position Overview | Hiring a post-doctoral researcher (postdoc) will benefit the university by increasing research output and benefit the postdoctoral scholar by developing the skills and gain hands-on experiences in process research and development targeting at commercialization. This position is for a period of up to 24 months, contingent of the performance evaluation held annually. This position will be working on the engineering research and development of a prototype hydrochar production system for phosphorus cycling from dairy manure, a joint research project funded by USDA NIFFA. The goal of this project is to design, fabricate, and evaluate a continuous-flow prototype system for producing hydrochar from dairy manure through hydrothermal carbonization. The position will be jointly held in the Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering, College of Engineering in Moscow, ID and in the Twin Falls Research and Extension Center, College of Agricultural & Life Sciences in Twin Falls, Idaho. |
