The Position
This is a key role in a friendly, motivated, and highly collaborative team providing strong world leading expertise in plant fungal pathogen genomics with a focus on pathogens important to Australia such as the wheat stripe rust fungus. The successful candidate will lead their own research program on wheat stripe rust fungus evolution, host adaptation and genome regulation supported by an excellent team embedded in the Research School Biology.
The Person
We are looking for a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues. Highly developed organisational skills and effective self-management are key. We are looking for someone with experience in plant pathogen genomics, evolutionary biology, and/or epigenetic (DNA and chromatin modification) genome regulation in fungi.
