A postdoctoral position is available in the research group of prof. Trude Helen Flo at the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Inflammation Research (CEMIR) , NTNU, Trondheim, Norway. Our group seeks to understand how host cellular responses to pathogens are initiated and regulated in space and time, and how this shape infection outcome. We study bacterial and viral pathogens, and have a particular interest in the cell biology of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infections. We are currently setting up human stem-cell-based model systems to study how cellular crosstalk regulates infection. We are looking for someone with expertise in microscopy or image-based screening who is interested in studying the cell biology of mycobacterial infection or innate immunity/cell death pathways.
The postdoctoral fellowship position is a temporary position where the main goal is to qualify for work in senior academic positions. Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to lead their own projects and to contribute to other projects on a collaborative basis.
Your immediate leader is prof. Trude Helen Flo
