The Position

This is a key role in a friendly, motivated team investigating questions in global conservation, macroecology, and macroevolution, working on a wide range of taxonomic and geographic case studies.

With no two days being the same, this role is integral to the delivery of research to meet the goals of an ARC-funded project to develop new approaches to integrating evolution and conservation. The role will involve compiling and analysing genomic, phylogenetic, spatial and biological data. You will take a lead role in producing and publishing cutting-edge research on the implications of evolutionary history for conservation. 

The Person

We are looking for a qualified biologist with a PhD in a relevant field, experienced in phylogenetics, biogeography, macroevolution or macroecology. You must be experienced in writing R code, handling phylogenetic and spatial data, with a good understanding of statistics and modelling. We are looking for someone who works well on team projects and enjoys the challenge of solving complex and difficult problems.
