Job Summary
The postdoctoral researcher will be working on our National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) / Teagle Foundation-funded program, “RIT Cornerstone: Analytic and Expressive Communication.” The postdoctoral researcher will help to grow the Teagle initiatives by helping to develop an intentional transformative texts-based curriculum that is integrated with our Expressive Communication Center (ECC) and eventually also other campus programs. They will hold a leadership position within the College of Liberal Arts Deans’ Office as well as a hybrid faculty position, which will facilitate their ability to understand and address the needs of non-humanities students who would benefit from humanities programming. The postdoc may also be asked to design a required first-year course for College of Liberal Arts majors that explores how abilities developed in a humanities curriculum contribute to students’ career objectives. The overall strategic goal of this postdoctoral position is to develop and help anchor a shared intellectual experience for the RIT Cornerstone Analytic and Expressive Communication students.
