Postdoctoral Associate

A post-doctoral associate position is available in the Dept. of Oral Biology, College of Dentistry at the University of Florida to study CD8+ T and monocyte responses to influenza virus. The lab integrates a wide range of novel conditional knockout animals, T cell assays, and genomics approaches to understand the molecular and immunological basis of pathologic host response during respiratory infections. The position offers an excellent opportunity for cutting-edge training in host-pathogen interactions, immunology, and molecular biology. The positions also offer an excellent opportunity for career development, and we invite applications from highly motivated candidates who are ambitious and want to pursue an academic career. Expertise in flow cytometry and T-cell/immune assays analysis is highly desirable.

$48,484-$58,000 annual; commensurate with qualifications and experience.

• The qualified applicant must possess a Ph.D. (Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or life sciences) and/or MD with 0-3 years of post-doctoral experience.
• Applicants must have demonstrable research experience in immunology, T-cell biology, cell and molecular biology.
