The incumbent will conduct research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University.
The Postdoctoral Associate will perform research in developing novel approaches to visible light-driven redox catalysis in organic synthesis. We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual who is interested in developing new platforms for organic transformations employing visible light redox chemistry. Additionally, the candidates must have interest in employing spectroscopic tools (UV-Vis, NMR, EPR) to study the fundamental aspects of radical generation and reactivity. We welcome candidates with backgrounds outside of organic synthesis and catalysis, particularly in organometallic catalysis, provided the candidate has interest in developing skills in organic synthesis. The postdoctoral fellow should possess good verbal and written communication skills in English, the ability to work productively and independently in a collaborative environment, strong problem-solving skills, and be willing to provide mentorship to junior members of our growing laboratory.
