Job DescriptionJob Title: Postdoctoral AssociateDivision: MedicineWork Arrangement: Onsite onlyLocation: Houston, TXSalary Range:FLSA Status: ExemptWork Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.SummaryA postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Fu laboratory in the Department of Medicine for a translational research project studying the role of circadian homeostasis in tumor suppression focusing on obesity-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The candidates are expected to have training background and techniques in molecular and cellular biology as well as mouse genetics and interpersonal skills in collaborating with clinicians and bioinformaticians. The project will use state-of-the-art technologies including RNA/ChIP-seq, in vivo nuclear run-on, proteomics, metabolomics, and humanized mouse models to define the role of circadian dysfunction in carcinogenesis and the pathophysiological mechanism and therapeutic targets specific to obesity-related non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)-induced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).Job Duties
