Ph.D (or foreign equivalent) in Physics or a closely related field in hand by the start of the appointment.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with any Heavy Ion Physics experiments at CERN.Brief Description of Duties:
The successful candidate will be a postdoctoral fellow in the department of physics and astronomy. The incumbent’s unofficial title will be “CFNS Fellow” and will work on the heavy ion physics and its connections to future Electron Ion Collider. They will be supervised by Prof. (CFNS director and Distinguished Professor).● Research on sPHENIX or STAR detector physics at RHIC or ATLAS detector at CERN.● Research on Electron Ion Collider science.● Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.Special Notes:This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
