As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the TU Delft Reactor Institute, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the scientific utilization of our Positron facilities. You will become an acknowledged expert in the field of position techniques and your key responsibilities will include:
You will work closely with a dedicated team of technicians and fellow researchers, fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation. In addition, you will receive training and support to expand your expertise and excel in your role. We intend to secure additional funding enabling transition of this postdoctoral position into a permanent instrument scientist position within three years.
You hold a PhD in a subject related to physical science, life science, materials science, engineering or another relevant field.

The TU Delft Reactor Institute is the Dutch knowledge center for nuclear technology and radiation-related research and education. It manages a unique research reactor (2.3 MW), irradiation facilities and radiation-related research instruments. The TU Delft Reactor Institute facilitates researchers and users of various research disciplines. Its research focuses mainly on materials for energy conversion and storage, and health technology for imaging, diagnosis and therapy with radionuclides and protons. It provides education to students from various programs within TU Delft, and professionals.
We offer a three-year postdoc contract for 32-40 hours a week (1 fte), which we hope to convert into a permanent contract when the financial situation allows.
