Job description

The Quantum Nano Photonics group at KTH is inviting applications for a postdoc position in the field of quantum communication with single and entangled photons. You will work in an international team to develop quantum photonic devices operating at the single photon level. You will develop devices based on quantum dots to generate single and entangled photons. You will be involved in European and international projects and will collaborate with leading research groups. The work will include optical measurements, development, deployment and validation of quantum communication systems and data analysis.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • Experience with optical measurements at cryogenic temperatures
  • Experience with single photon measurements
  • Experience with quantum entanglement measurements
  • Experience with quantum memories
  • Collaborative abilities
  • Independence 

Preferred qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
  • Experience in the synthesis of perovskite materials and their optical characterization.
  • Experience with optical measurements at the single photon level.
  • International experience.
  • Experience with supervision of students.
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality
