Postdoc and Postgrad Positions in Computational Biology, Human Genetics, and Molecular Epidemiology

Job Details

The Polimanti Lab at Yale University is seeking motivated Postdoctoral and Postgraduate trainees to join our multidisciplinary team. Our research applies big data analytics to molecular, clinical, and imaging data to understand the biology and epidemiology of psychiatric disorders, behavioral traits, and other complex phenotypes.

Successful candidates will contribute to ongoing projects in four key areas:

Internalizing Spectrum: Identifying direct, mediated, and interactive effects contributing to disorders and symptoms.

Comorbidity Risk: Uncovering the interplay between molecular features and environmental factors in mental and physical health.

Sex Differences: Assessing intrinsic and extrinsic factors that differentiate brain-related pathogenic processes in males and females.

Social Determinants: Understanding how social factors differentially affect mental health through direct and indirect pathways.

Additional opportunities for collaboration are available through the Clinical Epidemiology Research Center at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System.

Requirements:

Postdoctoral Candidates must hold (or be nearing completion of) a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in genetic epidemiology, bioinformatics, statistics, or a related field. Preference is given to those with less than two years of prior postdoc experience.

Postgraduate Candidates must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in biological sciences, computational biology, or statistics and be seeking advanced, time-limited training prior to a doctoral program.

To Apply: Please email your application – including a cover letter, detailed CV, and contact information for three referees – to renato.polimanti@yale.edu
