Post-Doctoral Researcher, Department of Archaeology

0.5 FTE, 18 Month, Fixed-Term, Part-time Post

Position summary

A post-doctoral research position for the IRC/COALESCE INSTAR+ funded project ‘Irish Peatland Archaeology Across Time’ is available, to coordinate and organise dissemination of archaeological research for community engagement, outreach and collaboration in the areas of environmental policy and advocacy.

Applicants should have experience of the communication of archaeological knowledge to, and in collaboration with, various communities of practice and related interest groups. Previous involvement in intra-disciplinary collaborations and interfaces, especially with the arts and humanities would be an advantage. Knowledge of Irish archaeology is desirable.

Project Title: I-PEAAT (Irish Peatland Archaeology Across Time)

Post Duration: 18 months

Salary: €41,207 – €47,477 p.a. (IUA PD1 Salary Scale), pro rata 0.5 FTE
