Offer Description

Fellow selected to work on research in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science in a project at the Center for Innovation in Artificial Intelligence for Health (CIIA-SAÚDE), specifically in the subproject “Prediction of Clinical and Economic Outcomes through Semantic Representations Multimodal Patients Resilient to Temporal Drifts.”

CIIA-Saúde is one of the AI centers selected by Call for Proposals jointly issued by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br). The Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) is the center’s host institution.

Professor responsible for advising the scholarship holder: Milena Soriano Marcolino (UFMG).

Mandatory requirements:

1) Undergraduate degree in the Health field;
2) PhD in Health Sciences or related field;
3) Experience in participating in projects in the Health area;
4) Experience with data analysis;
5) Ability to write scientific texts in English;
6) Experience with scientific writing, proven by quality international publications;
7) Leadership skills;
8) Availability of 40 hours of work per week, exclusively; and
9) Availability for weekly meetings.

Workload: 40h/week over 18 months, scheduled to start on 06/01/2024.

Monthly scholarship value: R$ 9,047.40.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 9,047.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
