Summary of Job Duties:
The Post Doctoral Fellow scientist in this position will conduct research projects and develop innovative RF devices, RF integrated circuit design techniques, antennas, and prototypes for various applications. The Post Doctoral Fellow may teach a course or laboratory related to RF or electromagnetics as needed. The Post-Doctoral Fellow scientist will work with the supervisor, Dr. Samir El-Ghazaly, to develop proof-of-concept systems, publish research papers, write grant proposals, supervise graduate students, and conduct outreach and educational activities on research projects.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, or related areas such as microelectronics conferred by the start of employment
Academic research track record in RF devices, RF circuits or antennas
Demonstrated skills in design, simulation, synthesis, characterization for high-frequency semiconductor devices
Demonstrated proficiency in both written and spoken English is required
Experience in and knowledge of RF devices and circuits
Experience in and knowledge of antennas theory and measurements
Experience in and knowledge of electromagnetic simulators
Experience in writing proposals and supervising graduate students
Experience in managing funded research projects
