Job Overview
As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients.
A full time Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Amanda Wasylishen, PhD in the Department of Cancer Biology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Research in Dr. Wasylishen’s laboratory aims to understand the fundamental mechanisms underlying cellular transformation and tumorigenesis in the pancreas, with a focus on epigenetic dysregulation of transcriptional and cellular states. We use a variety of genetically engineered models, combined with molecular, cellular and genomic approaches to achieve these goals.
Candidates with a strong background in cell and molecular biology, cancer research, developmental biology, mouse genetics, and/or epigenetics are encouraged to apply. Experience or interest in computational biology would be considered an asset but is not required. The incumbent will conduct research and/or analyze research data and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of the University of Cincinnati. Positions are temporary appointments as a research trainee.
