Position Summary:
The incumbent will independently perform and coordinate complex healthcare data analysis and project management that results in the successful operation and management of the UC Irvine Health’s value based care programs including , but not limited to commercial and Medicare Accountable Care Organizations, Medicare’s CCMI models, pay for performance programs and delegated capitated plans. The incumbent is responsible for actionable analysis, education and process development that support strategies and activities related to financial, quality and operational performance under population health arrangements. Will adhere to contract and regulatory compliance, oversee reconciliation and reporting, and assess all data needed to recommend solutions. The incumbent will lead communications with internal and external stakeholders in matters related to performance and implementation of UCI Health population health arrangements.

Required Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong financial, analytical and planning skills to effectively evaluate projects and new business opportunities
Strong commitment to the values of the organization: Academic Achievement, Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence
Knowledge of capitation and capitation management, including risk evaluation methodologies necessary for designing reimbursement methodologies, calculating and evaluating reimbursement rates, and forecasting effect on revenues and expenses
Knowledge of managed care financial concepts and the healthcare field. Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations is required
Knowledge of physician and facility billing, reimbursements and third party regulations.
5-7 years’ experience working with value based contracts in a physician group and/or hospital environment understanding the administrative, finance and operational components of these contracts
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
