Policy Engagement and Communications Associate (Government Outcomes Lab)

The Blavatnik School of Government is seeking to appoint a Policy Engagement & Communications Associate to support the

Government Outcomes Lab

’s activities.

We are looking for someone who is a natural connector and networker, comfortable engaging with stakeholders across different levels of seniority and professional backgrounds. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, have a talent for distilling complex information in an exciting and compelling manner, and be enthusiastic about creating meaningful opportunities to share learning and research insights to improve public services. Organised and resourceful, you will be instrumental in the delivery of our expansive policy engagement programme.

The Policy Engagement and Communications Associate will work with the Engagement Team and the wider GO Lab team, to design and deliver policy engagement activities (peer learning groups, workshops, seminars, training programmes, the Social Outcomes Conference etc.) and develop tailored knowledge resources and stakeholder communications (e.g. newsletters, policy briefs, case studies) for GO Lab’s digital Knowledge Hub. The post holder will be responsible for liaison with a varied range of stakeholders from the UK and internationally. They will occasionally be required to represent the GO Lab at external meetings.

The successful candidate must hold a first degree in a relevant subject and have an understanding of UK public sector, social policy and evidence-based policymaking. A committed team player, they will have a systematic, thorough and well-organised approach to work, sound judgement working on sensitive topics and demonstrable ability to develop excellent professional working relationships. Demonstrable success planning and delivering events and communications experience are also essential.
