Policy Advisor (Singapore Hub)

Policy Advisor (Singapore Hub)

Coventry University Group includes one of the UK’s leading Higher Education Institutions. Visionary leadership, strong financial management and an entrepreneurial approach underpin our performance and ensure that we are developing a university that is fit for the future.

Coventry University Group has been an active partner in a number of global networks for many years and has collaborated with many international partners. As part of our ambitious growth strategy and our plans for future developments around education, research and innovation we are committed to growing our international activities further.

Our Group Policy Unit focuses on supporting the long-term Group strategy of influencing and informing relevant politicians, policy makers and enabling organisations of the strengths of the University Group.

The Policy Officer (Singapore Hub) will take the lead on co-ordinating the Group’s access to intelligence about education, research and innovation policy in the geography covered by the Singapore Hub (with an initial focus on a limited number of priority countries). The post holder will also support the administration of effective relationships with government officials and will work to build relevant links internally within the University Group.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in the Singapore Hub and make your mark in an innovative and forward thinking organisation.

What will you bring to the team?

The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and desk research skills together with relevant experience in writing formal documents for external submission and for internal use at the most senior levels.

To be successful in the role you will enjoy working flexibly within a small team with the ability to prioritise workload and work to your own initiative (a full list of the person specification can be found in the attached job description).
