Platform Ops Engineer

Duration: 6+ Months (Contract to Hire)

Job Description:

• We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Platform Ops Engineer who has extensive hands-on expertise in writing infrastructure as code (IAC) in AWS environment. Expertise in build and deploy of environment and expert ability in Terraform, scripting languages, LAMBDA, DynamoDB, Harness, and other tools listed below.
• This role is for creation of multiple new Cloud environments for a mission critical, high availability, multi-region application. The selected candidate will work closely with DXC and Client engineers, develop infrastructure as code, build environments, setup monitoring, setup and configure Harness and other related tools.
• Hands on Infrastructure as Code experience is must, and all selected candidates must pass a comprehensive technical interview.

Responsibilities:

• High level understanding on Terraform.
• CI/CD Tools ( industry standard tools for source code and binary code repos)
• Knowledge in YAML scripting is a must.
• Microservices provisioning and application deployments using EKS,ECS (any of these).
• Experience with Serverless components, especially Lambda.
• Any of these configuration management – Ansible, Puppet , Chef or Saltstack.
• Programming experiences (Python with boto3 preferred)

Knowledge and Skills:

• API experience (Kong / API Gateway)
• Experience with Kafka / Solace message brokers.
• Jenkins integration with various DevOps tools such as GitHub, Artifactory, SonarQube, Veracode, UCD, Jira, RTC and Clienture DevOps pipelines
• Monitoring Tools like ELK (Elastic Search/Logstash/Kibana), Splunk and AmClienton Cloud
• Jenkins Pipeline Groovy Scripts
• Artifactory
• Version Control Systems like GIT, GitHub.
• SCM tools like GIT on Linux platforms
• Build Tools like MAVEN and ANT

Education:

•Bachelor’s education or equivalent

•5+ year’s experience preferred

Experience:

• Airline PSS and Flight Availability experience preferred.
• Minimum 4+ years hands-on experiences in provisioning and high level of understanding on AWS related services (especially ECS, SQS, MQ, Lambda).
• Deep understanding on AWS network components.
