Become a part of our team as a Plant Technical Support Engineer and contribute to sustainable energy solutions!Plant Technical Support NCE is a sub department of Technical Support NCE, which support the Service business in whole Northern and Central Europe with technical knowledge and acting as the link between Engineering and these local business units.Main tasks for the department include: Providing direct support to service technicians in troubleshooting and repair tasks, remote troubleshooting in Power Plant Controllers and SCADA solutions remotely, remote software upload, creating work instructions, providing answers to technical questions from internal and external customers, and taking part in customer meetings.Providing high quality plant technical support Service organizations in the NCE region to reduce windfarm downtime and enhance performance.Being a part of Plant Technical Support NCE, you will be included in a high experience team, taking leadership for implementing Vestas’ strategy, supporting the Service organizations and local business units with technical knowledge, securing customer focus and safety.Responsibilities

  • Remote troubleshooting of Vestas PowerPlant Controllers and SCADA solutions
  • Providing operational support to wind farms
  • Participating in a hotline setup to remotely assist on-site technicians
  • Being available for weekend on-call assistance
  • Working shifts between 06:00 – 18:00 CET
  • Offering technical advice to internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers in their development
  • Interacting with customers and third parties via phone, e-mail, or ticketing system
  • Coordinating with 1st and 3rd level teams to create work instructions, processes, and technical documentation
  • Ensuring knowledge transfer and contributing to optimizing and improving product solutions

Qualifications

  • Automation engineering experience, beneficial in the wind industry.
  • Relevant education in Automation, IT, or related fields.
  • PLC programming skills.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (IEC101, IEC104, MODBUS, DNP).
  • Knowledge of industrial electricity and electronics.
  • Understanding of computer and industrial networks.
  • Commissioning and maintenance of server OS is an added value, but not necessary
  • Advanced English skills, verbal and written.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport eligibility
