Physician, Head of the Center for Organ Transplantation (CTO)
with professorial rank of Associate Professor / Full Professor
Within the Department of Surgery (DC)

In collaboration with partner services at the CHUV, the CTO provides expertise in various areas of organ transplantation: transplant surgery, transplant coordination and medicine, radiological procedures, kidney transplantation (adult and pediatric), heart transplantation (adult and pediatric), lung transplantation, liver transplantation (medical aspects), pancreas transplantation (medical aspects), immunology and infectious diseases in transplantation, immunosuppressive medication and infection prevention, laboratory medicine, clinical pathology (biopsies, etc.) in transplantation, as well as psychology/psychiatry in transplantation.
The Center’s core missions include delivering high-level medical, surgical and nursing care, both inpatient and outpatient, before and after transplantation, as well as teaching (undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education) and clinical/translational research. The CTO operates in an interdisciplinary manner with the other sectors, units, services, and departments involved.

Medical degree (Swiss or recognized MEBEKO equivalent qualification required) and MD or MD-PhD
