OU HSC is one of only four comprehensive academic health centers in the nation with seven professional colleges. We are currently building world-class institutes for the treatment of diabetes and cancer.
Duties:
- Maintains physical access control and security systems
- Assists outside contractors to facilitate the installation of equipment and conduct inspections and repairs
- Serves as a contact for security and surveillance systems
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains existing access control doors, surveillance cameras, and alarms
- Determines placement of new security equipment
- Installs new and replaces existing security hardware
- Repairs and services equipment and maintains equipment inventory
- Assists with evaluating, diagnosing, and troubleshooting system equipment that requires servicing
- Reports and/or addresses all system discrepancies found during inspections to lead technician/supervisor. Includes cleaning, repairing, or repositioning.
- Works with campus systems resource management to accurately record all needed equipment maintenance, inventory, and labor requirements
- Creates or edits as-built drawings as needed.
- Attends continuous training to include system certification, equipment, building code education, industry standards, and best practices.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position
Job Requirements

Education: High School diploma or GED, or Trade School certificate.
Experience: 24 months of experience in general electronics.
Skills:
- Detail-oriented for accuracy of data and information
- Ability to read and interpret information including complex technical drawings, schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and text
- Ability to troubleshoot a problem, develop and implement a solution
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
Working Conditions:
- Physical: Ability to engage in repetitive motion and communicate effectively.
- Environmental: Standard office environment.
