As a driver of innovation, TU Wien fosters close collaboration with business and industry and contributes to the prosperity of society.In the central Campus IT of TU Wien the Service Unit of Software Development is offering a position as PHP Software Engineer (all genders) immediately (Full-time, entry possible with 20 hours per week).Tasks:
- In-house development of Moodle extensions in an agile setting
- Maintenance and further development of existing features and APIs to TISS, Opencast, and other systems
- Participation in the entire development cycle, from requirements analysis for new system components in user-centered processes, through architecture conception, and design, to the implementation of reusable components, testing, and support in the delivery process
- Participation in Moodle projects (MoodleMoot DACH, etc.)
- Ongoing training in the area of software development
- Quality assurance and creation of (technical) documentation
- Participation in the Moodle community as part of the Academic Moodle Cooperation
Your profile:
- Advanced knowledge and experience in web development (full stack) with PHP 8, Javascript, CSS, HTML5, MOODLE, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Experience with tools and methods in the field of software development (e.g., Continuous Integration, JIRA, GitHub, GitLab, Bamboo/Jenkins, Confluence, Scrum, Redmine, etc.)
- Experience with object-oriented programming
- Ideally familiar with university structures
- Familiarity with the principles of REST interfaces
- Digital competencies and analytical skills
