What we want

The Photo & Video Coordinator, under the direction of the Director of Visual Media, is responsible for implementing strategy and overseeing the production of photography and videography needs to fulfill the mission of the Division of Marketing and Communications. This will be accomplished through visual storytelling, video journalism, digital filmmaking, and photojournalism. Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Three years’ experience in a creative work environment producing photography and video projects

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

  • Proficiency with Macintosh systems and utilities

  • Mastery of digital SLR and Cinema cameras, image editing, cinema camera operations, set design, continuous and strobe lighting, post production editing, color grading, and audio editing

  • Proficient in Apple Final Cut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop

Other Requirements or Factors:

  • Work outside of standard work hours, evenings, and weekends

  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment

  • Work within tight time and budget constraints

  • Must be attentive to detail and meet customer needs

Preferred Experience:

  • Five years’ experience in video production and photography

Preferred Licenses and Certifications:

  • FAA – Part 107 Drone Certification

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient with 3 axis gimbals, manual and automatic sliders and external recording devices. Drone photography and videography skills

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Create Photos and Videos – Works with internal and external marketing and communications teams to create, produce, film/photograph and edit digital media content to support the mission of the Division of Marketing and Communications and Texas A&M University. Recommends creative vision. Properly archives and masters digital assets.

  • Develop and Maintain Campus Images – Supplies local, national, and world media with moving and still imagery of campus and campus events. Provides consulting and support to campus community on effective imagery and videography. Maintains a digital asset management system for digital content.

  • Information Awareness – Maintains awareness and knowledge of current photography and videography production trends and technological advances. Performs other duties as assigned.
