The Opportunity:

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is currently recruiting for a Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement Coordinator to join the team at our Daytona Beach Campus. The coordinator will provide administrative and logistics support to the Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement (PAE) division.

 

The coordinator will work with multiple departments within the division providing administrative, clerical, and logistical support in key areas – stewardship, annual giving, and grant applications.

 

The coordinator is a strategic thinker, with excellent time management skills, who can manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.  The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service mindset and a commitment to being a team player.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Become proficient in and manage our email gift acknowledgement process through programs including Thankview .and A nthology .  Responsibilities will include scheduling and supervising the Stewardship student workers, covering their tasks during extended absences, and ensuring quality control in acknowledgements.
  • Assist the Annual Giving department by proofreading Annual Giving solicitation material, helping as needed with crowdfunding projects, and coordinating email solicitations through Anthology .
  • Provide support to division stewardship and campaign events for groups including the Legacy Society, Giving Circles, and Philanthropic Organizations.  Support events such as Homecoming and Faculty/Staff Campaign Breakfast.
  • Support the fundraisers and our Communications team with the tracking of grant applications, Create and maintain a calendar of grant submission deadlines as well as a record of submissions and awards. Research available grants and criteria for submission.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required, Associates or specialized training is preferred
  • At least one year of administrative support experience
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Copy writing / editing / proofreading experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
  • Strong MS Office skills, familiarity with Adobe products
